OUR MISSION is to provide a voice and comprehensive services for women veterans of all ages, rank, and branches of service.
OUR VISION is of a progressive Veterans Service Organization (VSO) where women veterans are treated with the courtesy, respect, and promptness they are entitled to.
OUR DUTY is to serve one another as we would be served.
We work on three levels:
1 Personal - - advocacy, information and referral and strengthening community among women veterans by providing social events and continuing education.
2 Community - - collaboration with other veterans groups, community wide events and exchange of information to build long-term alliances with other veterans service organizations.
3 National - - encourage the leadership skills of women veterans by providing up-to-date information concerning the policy and procedures of the VA being developed in Congress and the administration.
How we plan to do it:
1. Train volunteer advocates and VSOs.
2. Provide information and referral through a toll-free phone line.
3. Collaborate with other veterans' organizations, local, state, and federal.
4. Facilitate networking and enjoy social events.
5. Maintain a web site for members that is secure and private.
6. Whatever we think of next!
WE WANT YOU TO JOIN US!
Without you we cannot provide advocates for those women veterans who need them. We can not train Veterans Service Officers if we have no one to be trained. Please join us in this effort. We promise to find a way for you to contribute and to have fun as well!
